| Tiivistelmä: | This is a Stackelberg-type asymmetric information game model of a bank borrowing to a joint stock company (called inside debt because of the direct monitoring activity associated with such type of debt). It is shown that outside stockholders want their firm to have some inside debt because of the associated reduction in agency costs. |
