| Tiivistelmä: | Speculations are presented about the future of experimental economics that is anticipated to play an important role in helping game theory bridge the gap between the study of ideally rational behaviour and the study of actual behaviour. A hundred years from now game theory will become the backbone of microeconomic engineering. Some areas in which empirical work on game theory has been done are mentioned, namely those confronting theory with evidence in the laboratory and in the field. Next, forecasting is tried on what will be the most productive avenues of work in the near and intermediate term. The next step in the development of game theory is to bring afore the empirical questions associated with strategic environments. |
