| Tiivistelmä: | In the spring, the German Institute for Economic research stated its view, in the report published by Germany's six leading economic research institutes, that economic recovery in west Germany would not begin until the second half of this year. Following stages in the first quarter, the DIW forecast that the recovery would suffer a sharp reverse in the second and third quarters. Rise in interest rates poses a threat to sustained economic recovery. |
