| Tiivistelmä: | This book reports on a carefully controlled experiment in which eight self-selected groups of modelers used several data sets selected by the organizers. Also involved are several eminent applied econometricians who act as commentators on subsets of the contributions. In all, there are 37 contributors from six countries. The organizers, who are also the editors of the book, are to be congratulated in obtaining funding for the project, which proved to be difficult. Eventually funding was obtained from the journal Applied Econometrics which published a special issue on the results, and the workshop, at which results were first presented, was supported by the Center for Econometric Research at Tilburg University. |
