Tiivistelmä:On June 3, 1990, industry and academic leaders gathered at the Michigan Business School to grapple with the dynamic issues that have emerged from the decade-long shift to a global economy. The purpose of the symposium was to stimulate dialogue and debate regarding the business/business school relationship as well as to mobilize energy for action. Based on a number of individual contributions, three main questions are addressed: 1. What does a global organization look like? 2. What does a global business school look like? 3. What does a global curriculum in a business school that serves global corporations look like? Several attempts to define the concept of "global organization" are presented. A lot of managerial challenges are illuminated.
