| Tiivistelmä: | Two central problems in carrying out futures studies in an organization are the lack of interest among the staff in futures problems and the extension of common ground between past and future beyond a few quantifiable variables. The backview mirror method outlined explores the extent of common ground between historical and future development of an organization and presents how the knowledge can be used in the strategic planning of various types of organization. A case study from municipal government in Vasteras,Sweden is presented. |
