| Tiivistelmä: | Sarkar is well known in India as a social philosopher, political revolutionary, poet and linguist. His contribution to futures studies is discussed. While he may not see himself as a futurist, an analysis of his works clearly shows that they are futuristic in orientation, as he is concerned with critiquing the present, with developing an alternative vision of future, a @eutopia, as well as with predicting new technologies and ways of life. However, he constitutes the vision of future in a manner alien to most traditional Western-oriented futures studies, substantively as well as methodologically. |
