Tiivistelmä:The world economy is moving towards a system of "triad"-based competition in which large multinational enterprises from the USA, the EC and Japan battle for global market shares and profits. Access to at least one, if not two, of these triad markets has become a necessary condition for success in a globalised industry. Yet the competitive rivalry by firms in the triads leads them to seek to erect barriers to entry against rival firms. One of these methods is explored in the paper; the use of domestic unfair trade law procedures as a strategic weapon to keep foreign rivals. Specific attention is focused upon the nature of USA trade remedy law and the influence of USA corporations on the administration.
