| Tiivistelmä: | The winter months of 1993/1994 saw an improvement in the state of the world economy. Strong economic growth in many of the South-East Asian and Latin American developing countries continued apace, while the industrialised countries made significant progress towards overcoming the extended period of economic weakness. The pace of expansion in the USA picked up once more and western Europe experienced a slight recovery. Japan, on the other hand, found itself still in a cyclical trough. |
