| Tiivistelmä: | There has been a considerable improvement in the economic situation of the western industrialised countries since the start of 1994. Europe, especially Continental Europe, appears to have now briskly overcome the extended phase of economic weakness, while in the United States economic expansion has accelerated further. Even the Japanese economy seems to be gradually emerging from the stagnation. The continued strong growth in North America is examined. |
