| Tiivistelmä: | An attempt has been made in this article to show that the said rocket-engine deal did not violate the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR): rather the US stand was commercially motivated. The ease with which the MTCR was used in the present case to clothe the US stand with legality serves yet again to highlight the flaws of the MTCR and to raise doubts as to whether the MTCR itself represents a genuine effort to contain missile proliferation. |
