| Tiivistelmä: | It is the aim of this article to analyse the existing legal problems that hinder the process of finding equitable solutions to the problems of North-South trade. It also analyses the results of the Uruguay Round and evaluates their effect on North-South trade. The term North is used to mean the developed countries, and the term South to mean developing countries, including newly industrialized countries (NICs) and least-developed countries. In order for both the North and the South to eliminate the legal obstacles facing the trade relations between them and to boost world trade, compromises have to be found. |
