Tiivistelmä: | A fundamental principle of American trade policy is that foreigners must not "dump" their goods in the United States. The Antidumping Act of 1921 (the Act) was enacted to protect American industries from this form of price discrimination in which foreign products exported to the United States are sold at prices far less than those charged for comparable goods sold in the home market of the exporter. In the time since the enactment of the Act, the international trade arena has evolved so that it is now commonplace for foreign investment ot cross national boundaries, and for multinational corporations to expand their manufacturing operations beyond the boundaries of their home countries. |
