| Tiivistelmä: | The problem of balance-of-payment difficulties has been encountered by virtually every developing country. Naturally, most developing countries have resorted to foreign exchange regulatory regimes to control the inflow and outflow of foreign currencies. A common feature of such regimes is that the local currency cannot be freely converted into foreign currencies. This article will discuss foreign exchange regulations in China and their impact on direct foreign investment. |
