| Tiivistelmä: | On 20 December 1994, the Council of the European Union finally adopted a new Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) for industrial goods. After a four-year extension of the previous scheme pending the outcome of the Uruguay Round negotiations, the revision of the EU GSP was long overdue. This article will sketch the legislative background of the new GSP Regulation and provide an overview of the significantly changed new system. |
