| Tiivistelmä: | As the European Union moves deeper into its integration process and the establishment and functioning of a genuinely common market has been materialized to a considerable extent, the focus of attention of policy- and law-makers at both centralized and national levels has concentrated in eliminating non-tariff barriers that still exist and pose obstacles to the operation of the common market. The elimination of non-tariff barriers has been the target of European institutionsover the past decade, particularly with reference to the completion of the single market in 1992. |
