| Tiivistelmä: | This article is pursuing a twofold purpose. First, that of reviewing the case that exists for integrating a comprehensive set of investment protection and liberalization disciplines into the WTO. Second, that of better gauging the scope and possible implications from an investment rule-making perspective of existing WTO disciplines pertaining to investment. Implict to this article's reasoning is the priority attention that the newly established WTO Working Group on Trade and Investment will need to devote to the investment-related provisions found in the Marrakesh Agreement. |
