Tiivistelmä:The 29 nations representing the member States of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) comprise the single most powerful economic force in the world market today. The most recent statistical information from the World Trade Organization (WTO) indicates that during 1996, total world export trade in goods amounted to $5.25 trillion. Of the top 30 goods- exporting nations, the OECD accounted for 21 spots, with a cumulative export figure of $3.72 trillion. WTO figures for exports of services are most complete for 1995 with world exports totalling $1.17 trillion.
