| Tiivistelmä: | This article is an attempt to review the practice of developing countries in the matter of WTO dispute settlement during the early years of the organization's existence and set the special and differential rules, both procedural and substantive, against the record in order to determine the scope of their application. The author provides an overview of the participation of developing country Members in the WTO dispute settlement system to date. Then the paper is followed by an examination of some of those more contentious procedural areas of WTO dispute settlement involving developing country Members which strike at the capacity of the developing countries to access the system in order to adequately protect their trading interests. |
