Tiivistelmä:Competitive behavior among firms is typically characterized in theory by stable and harmonious relationships among companies responding to customer demand within a market. However, shifts from this overall pattern of competitive behavior can be found within industries from time to time as firms enter interludes of intercorporate instability and disharmony, even belligerence. This article proposes a model which accounts for such shifts in the character of rivalry between firms.
