| Tiivistelmä: | The article is a theoretical exercise offering new approaches to semiotics. Among the principles of a more scientific theory of semiology the author proposes to stress the neutral quality of discourse, segmentation, veridiction and corroboration, to abolish the concept of the sign as the one-and-only object of inquiry. |
