| Tiivistelmä: | Losing a job is one of the most painful experiences any individual can have. Shown is that many of the negative effects of layoffs can be mitigated by advance notice and a comprehensive corporate assistance program. Employees can better their chances of finding a new job by being willing to relocate and retrain, and by approaching the process with a positive attitude. Although the stress and hardship of losing a job can never be completely eliminated, companies and individiuals can take steps to make the situation less painful. |
