| Tiivistelmä: | The objective of this study is to determine the efficacy of ex ante estimates. A comparison is made between the predicted change in trade flows due to an assortment of trade policy modifications (economic integration, tariff reduction programmes for developing countries,etc.) with ex post estimates of the integration effects on trade flows. The major finding of this study is that ex ante estimates of trade policy changes uniformly underestimate their impact on trade flows. |
