| Tiivistelmä: | This paper deals with some recent advances in the culture and economics area, examining the effect of culture on a key economic outcome: female labour supply. An epidemiological approach is used in studying second-generation American women. Both female labour force participation (LFP) and attitudes are used as cultural proxies (here as: prxs). It is shown that both cultural prxs. have quantitatively significant effects on women's work outcomes etc. |
