| Tiivistelmä: | In an attempt to work smarter, to improve quality and customer service, and to enhance productivity, many organizations have implemented teams. Unfortunately, it has been our experience that most teams have underperformed. Therefore, a key question is why do teams work in some cases and not in others? While measures of team success have been developed, and the characteristics needed in team members have been analyzed extensively, a critical element missing from most discussions is the importance of a careful anaysis of all of the conditions that have to be in place before teams are implemented. |
