Tiivistelmä:This study deals with personnel recruitment (hereafter as: recr.) on the Internet (here as: I-net). It is examined how small and large firms differ on certain aspects of I-net recr., that is, the company Web site and its use in recr., awareness of I-net recruiters, usage of I-net recruiters, and differences across functions and levels of management. There are 86 percent of organizations indicating having their own Web sites and 53 percent using them for recr. Large firms currently have a considerable advantage over small firms with respect to I-net recr. due to their resources. In this study it is not clear whether this gap is growing or shrinking. Small firms make greater use of the services of I-net recruiters etc. The I-net has quickly become a major recruitment source.
