| Tiivistelmä: | This article provides a perspective for Dutch shipbuilding sector and its innovative capacity in the first half of the twentieth century. The analysis of knowledge infrastructure and the development phases of shipbuilding industry in the Netherlands revealed the dependence on foreign knowledge. The findings also highlight the importance of individuals in the innovation process. |
