| Tiivistelmä: | The report contains information on EU legislation, including car emissions directive, limiting air pollution from large combustion plants, updating directives on bathing water and industrial hazards. Global warming is given much attention in Switzerland, in the Netherlands, in Germany and in the United Kingdom. Waste and recycling conventions are analysed. Promoting clean energy in Europe and progress on renewables is discussed. A new environmental policy plan and a new approach to environmental legislation in the Netherlands are described. |
