| Tiivistelmä: | This article aims to provide an ex post assessment on regional trade agreements by using a gravity model which includes 130 countries and is estimated with panel data from 1962 to 1996. The results indicate that regional trade agreements have caused a significant increase in trade between member countries. However, this has often happened at the expense of the rest of the world. |
