Tiivistelmä:Linear programming can be applied for the planning calculus -transformation of the draft sales plan into an optimum plan of production at the manufacturing with repeat intermittent manufacturing processes (batch production). At its practical application one is faced with the problems of the extent of data and the duration of calculating. The extent of data necessary for the planning calculus and thus also the duration of calculation can be decreased by means of the substance compression of data entering into the planning calculus. However, it should be noted here that the data compression is connected with the loss of information; a compressed set of data cannot replace the basic, initial set of data in an absolute and ideal way. Yet, it is possible to establish the probability of correspondence for such a replacement. After having performed the planning calculus with compressed data we get the compressed results that should be decompressed before further processing.Such a planning calculus is applicable as a fast tool especially at the time level of the annual (basic) planning intended for investigation of production system behaviour under different conditions.
