Tiivistelmä:This article discusses the dynamics of the entry of visual artists into the contemporary art market in France using a comprehensive approach. The study was done via interview of 30 young artists during a 3-year period. It is found that the qualification of artists and their work relies on social activity with regard to artistic tests.
