| Tiivistelmä: | Unlike outsourcing, shared services (hereafter as: shr-srvs.) is the standardization and consolidation of common functions across multiple organizations to increase information and knowledge sharing and to reduce information process duplication. Shr-srvs. should be viewed more as a challenge of organization redesign and less as a phenomenon of cost saving. In the perspective of shr-srvs., five general leading theories of organizational design are examined. |
