| Tiivistelmä: | A multiple criteria decision support system can be defined as a multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) model-embedded DSS to solve various semistructured and unstructured decisions involving multiple attributes or multiple objectives or both. A database of 203 specific DSS applications extracted from over 1,100 English-language journals published from 1971 through April 1988 was used in a survey. In this survey 26 MCDM model-embedded DSS (13 p.c. of the 203 DSS applications) were identified. Eight of them were developed to support strategic decisions, the others were used at tactical and operational levels. The integration pattern over the last two decades was also analyzed. |
