| Tiivistelmä: | In economic cooperation, APEC proposes the model of "common input of resources" rather than conventional "You give, I take", advocates the principle of equality, voluntariness and mutual benefit in stead of discrimination and non-equality, encourages the involvement of private organizations rather than the pure governmental behavior. The major problems include the "foam" phenomenon resulted form the impatience for trade and investment liberalization and the slow response to Asian financial crisis. The challenge APEC is facing is how to remove out of the shadow of financial crisis and deal with the relation with WTO and other sub-regional organizations. |
