| Tiivistelmä: | During the past two decades in Mexico, indigenous business groups have experienced spectacular growth. In 1982, in the midst of this rapid growth, the problem of Mexico's accumulated foreign debts came to a head shaking the entire economy. This study focuses on the on the example of Mexico's largest indigenous business group, the Alfa Group, to examine the past two decades of growth experienced by these groups. It examines in particular their efforts to overcome their foreign debt problems and to restructure themselves. |
