Tiivistelmä:Why did strategic planning fall from grace? All this time, strategic planning has really been strategic programming: a way to articulate and carry out strategies, not to make them. Strategic planning has never been the same as strategie thinking, nor has it been about creating strategic visions. In this article the author sets out what planning is not and what it cannot do, and he argues for what planning can be. Organizations disenchanted with strategic planning should think twice before they get rid of their planners. Conventional planners can find new roles in the strategy making process.
