| Tiivistelmä: | Within the broader purpose of developing a partial model of manufacturing strategy, the thrust is to investigate the impact of environmental uncertainty on manufacturing strategy content and process, and manufacturing strategy`s influence on business performance. A step is taken to review, classify, clarify, define and integrate ideas and concepts from relevant diverse disciplines. The empirical section based on data gathered from 35 manufacturers found that environmental uncertainty influenced manufacturing strategy variables. The manufacturing strategy variables, in turn, influenced business performance. |
