| Tiivistelmä: | The paper deals with the possibility of receiving an indefinite answer from a decision maker to a question about his preferences. Rather than assuming exact answers, the authors use an adaptive method that is iterative and interactive with the decision maker, who, at each step, is provided with information on the potential advantage of answering questions. The new method does not force rationality and decisiveness on potentially irrational and/or indecisive decision makers. |
