Tiivistelmä:The decision support system discussed assists in preparing assortment decisions made by retailing firms. The system is composed of two behavioral models and a decision model. Con- trary to most published decisions models, demand interdepen- dencies between article groups are considered. The objective function to be maximized corresponds to periodical net con- tribution to profit for all article groups belonging to the assortment. The decision model requires computation of the marginal purchase probabilities of each article group.
