| Tiivistelmä: | Based on questionnaires some but not all newer studies report small relevance of patenting only for the appropriation of returns on R&D. Analysis of the reasons reveals that the other independent conditions for success as lead time or superior marketing diminish the relative importance of patenting for management. The specific reason most cited is the possibility to invent around legally with considerably different chances in various technological fields. |
