Tiivistelmä:pricing products in a product mix is considered. More specifically, a situation is dealt with in which a firm manufactures a product that must be used with the primary product. Two propositions were developed and analytically examined for two cases of contingent products. The first case deals with a situation in which the primary product can be used without the contingent product. The second case deals with a situation where the primary product cannot be used without the contingent product. Based on the analysis, normative results emerge regarding the pricing strategy.
