| Tiivistelmä: | The link between economic growth and employment tends to attract special public attention whenever, in times of recession, firms make increased use of modern technologies. Some observers even come to conclude that economic growth cannot solve our unemployment problem. As past experience shows, however, the link between growth and unemployment has by no means been broken. Quite to the contrary, economic growth has become increasingly job intensive, i.e. the employment threshold has come down significantly. |
