| Tiivistelmä: | The United States, like Britain, Jappan, and the rest of the industrialized West, will have to learn how to run itself using workers recruited from groups usually considered last, if at all: immigrants, racial and ethnic minorities , the disabled, and (especially) people over 50 years of age. Despite entrenched beliefs to the contrary, older workers are not more expensive and less productive. This article tells the story of the experiences so far. |
