| Tiivistelmä: | This study examines the communication links between a manufacturer and a supplier in the JIT partnering relationship. The informational content of these exchanges includes cost, quality, and production schedule data. The perceptions of openness, reliability , timeliness, and ease of access were used as the qualitative description of a communication. The findings indicate that there is more information provided to JIT suppliers than to other suppliers. It is perceived by manufacturers that their open and reliable communications lead to improved quality. |
