| Tiivistelmä: | A FMS specifies production requirements for parts of different types. Usually these part types cannot be produced at the same time because there is not sufficient capacity to hold all the tools required. Therefore prior to production, certain system setup issues must be addressed. This paper focuses on integrating the production setup problem of the part-mix ratio with the scheduling problem of part input sequence. The characteristics, selection , and relative importance of the best part-mix ratios/input sequence over the next period is investigated. |
