| Tiivistelmä: | In this paper, theoretical insights of the "new regulatory economics" shall be used to shed light on the question whether the enacted regulatory reform really led to more efficient incentives for cost minimization and more efficient prices as it had been promised by its proponents. The author of the article states that according to the identified five fields of change, the relevant theoretical literature is surveyed. Finally some general conclusions about the undertaken regulatory reforms are established based on the theoretical results. The paper provides a substantial list of references on this subject. |
