| Tiivistelmä: | The first chapter contains the description of the rise and dissemination of new rating systems in the German automobile insurance market. The theoretical background for the introduction of the new rating factors and its consequences for damages is the subject of the third chapter. In the next part of the article the authors de scribing the used data set. Cross sectional estimations which are able to test the different hypotheses about the effects of using tariff items on the variation rates of loss ratios had been done. These results and the conclusions are presented in the last sections of the paper. The paper provides a substantial list of references on this subject. |
