Tiivistelmä:The widespread orientation to margins that is practised in the trade when it comes to questions regarding the assortment policy, can lead to incorrect decisions. By introducing the instrument "product group account" it is shown how the strengths and weaknesses of an assortment are made visible and how effective cost control can be practised. It goes on to explain the "Article-Coverage-Contribution Account". The transformation of the product group account by means of specific article limiting quantities leads to individual calculation.
