| Tiivistelmä: | This paper investigates the implications of the Single market process for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK food sector. As such, it forms part of a wider research project investigating Single market related threats and opportunities for SMEs of different national origins in specific sectors. Whilst there is no shortage of surveys which have assessed the awareness of the Single Market among SME managers and their attitudes towards it, there is a lack of in-depth research which examines the interrelationship between the effects of the Single market process and the characteristics of SMEs. |
