Tiivistelmä:As distributor-supplier relationships become increasingly complex, considerable advances have been made in understanding the relationship management process. However, little effort has been devoted to understanding how co-ordination and control or relationship activities is achieved when small businesses are involved. This paper describes the results that suggest that, unlike larger firms, the smallest firms operate primarily in market or loosely aligned governance structures, assign less importance to the continuation of long-term relationships and use fewer influence attempts.
